COMPETITION | 'Insneezia' & Avoiding it w/ Boots UK

Yep, you read it right, insneezia is the next health battle all us hayfever suffers are set to face the challenge of this summer - that's if it ever stops hailing/snowing etc here in the UK and we actually get to see any sort of summer, obviously.

What is insneezia?

Firstly, kudos to whoever coined 'insneezia'. What a ludicrously brilliant word.

On a serious note though, insneezia has an insomniac effect on a hayfever sufferers and causes a lack of sleep due to experiencing hayfever symptoms at night. Boots UK pharmacist Tom Kallis has got the legit lowdown: "Many hayfever sufferers lose sleep during spring and summer, when pollen falls as the evening temperature decreases however, there is no reason why people need to let their hayfever have such an impact."

We've all got stressful, manic lives and no one wants to be heading into the office with "Sorry I'm late. I'm suffering from a real bad bout of insneezia at the moment" rolling off the tongue, am I right? Best to nip it in the bud (sorry!) and Boots UK are about to help us do just that.

Next Wednesday (4th May) will see Boots UK throw a #PetalParty with the purpose of raising awareness about insneezia and how us sufferers can avoid the symptoms.

From what I hear, it's going to be quite some event. St Christopher's place, just off of Oxford street, is going to be showered with 3 million petals in twenty minutes. There will even be a celebrity guest DJ. Sounds alright, doesn't it! Anyone can come down to the party to throw some shapes underneath the millions of petals too.

The best bit is, I have a giveaway for a petal afterparty - you can win a night in The Mondrian London, a dinner and botanical bar entry for you and a pal.

Entry to win is easy - tweet, "I’m going to the @BootsUK #PetalParty with @millie_cotton to help tackle Insneezia from night time hayfever."

The party starts at 7pm - look forward to seeing you there!
