A couple of weeks ago, a dream team made up of my favourite tequila brand and fashion magazine collaborated to throw a killer party.
Chef and food writer Gizzi Erskine was also involved, preparing a selection of authentic Mexican classics with a twist to pair with the Don Julio tequila. We were treated to everything from pork carnitas tacos with charred pineapple and pink pickled onions to sea bass ceviche and margarita sorbet.
I'm a sucker for an event with a selection of cocktails and the variety on offer was a plenty. The one cocktail I tried was the Don Julio Anejo Old Fashioned. By the time I get on the tequila, it's usually of the slamming, salt and lemon sort so, it was good to be able to experience in a more original way and appreciate the flavour of Don Julio.
