LFW Diary | SS15 | Day One

Weekday trousers & top | Office heels | Mulberry Del Ray | Monica Vinader jewellery*

Every season I seem to pick my favourite outfit to wear on the first day of LFW and this time around was no different. I'd been eyeing up this coord from Weekday for a while and then when I went to purchase it from ASOS (thank the Lord, Weekday is now stocked saving us the £6 shipping fee) and it had sold out in my size. I had obviously left my LFW outfit planning to the last minute and so, there was no time to get it from Weekday online. The next day I decided I wanted it so much that I'd buy it in the wrong size anyway but miraculously, the trousers were back in my size - score!

Eudon Choi

I began London this season with Eudon Choi. I've had a soft spot from him ever since I interviewed him back in 2012, when the designer was a rising star in the London Fashion scene and crowds mobbed to sit in on his small salon shows. Fast forward two years and Choi is no longer a rising star but one of London's star designers in his own right. For SS15, Choi stuck with what he knows - feminine tailoring, sharp silhouettes, crisp cotton and black; there was a lot of black. However, floral patterns kept the collection fresh and broke up the otherwise clean aesthetic Choi is renowned for.

Amanda Wakeley

Next on the schedule was Amanda Wakeley, which saw us all flock to Mayfair to her Albemarle Street store where the show was to be held. It was a white out and the lack of colour let focus fall to the attention to detail that had been paid to fabric selection, embellishment and fit of the pieces. Free flowing shapes were nipped in at the waist and covered with sheer bomber jackets. It was a beautiful collection that featured hints of sports luxe for the more sophisticated woman.

I ended my day with Felder Felder and Sadie Clayton before heading for supper and drinks with some gorgeous bloggers including Lolly, Megan, Lindsey and Hannah. It was a great first day and there's much more to come over the next few days from this LFW.

Love what you wore, Eudon Choi's show was so good! He deserves his place in the London fashion scene!
