Music | Preview | Festivals UK 2014

Spring is finally in the air! With the sun out, festival planning is the first thing that comes to mind. Festivals can be a great alternative to holidays abroad while festivals abroad can replace your generic boozy twenty-something on tour trip.

But which to attend? This summer stellar line ups are offered across the UK and beyond. Here's my UK festival bucket list for the coming months.

Parklife Weekender | June 7th & 8th

Hosted by the guys who bring us the nights of our lives at Warehouse Project in Manchester each Winter, Parklife Weekender is at the top of the game of UK's festivals. Performances this Summer will come from Snopp Dogg, Foals, Disclosure, Jon Hopkins, Ryan Hemsworth, Jacques Green, Kenrick Lemar, Jamie XX and many many more. A weekend ticket comes in at just under £80, while day tickets will set you back a mere £49.50

Wireless | July 4th July - 6th

Spread over three days in two locations, Wireless is one of the UK's biggest festivals. This year sees the tenth anniversary of the festival, including huge acts such as Kanye West, Pharrell, Drake, Outkast, Ellie Goulding plus others. Three day tickets cost £210 for London and £172 for Birmingham. Day tickets for London are £71 and £68.50 for Birmingham.

Love Saves The Day | May 24th & 25th

Love Saves The Day was my festival highlight from last year. Held in the centre of Bristol, this festival is a winner every Summer. Saturday will see Annie Mac, Eats Everything, Cyril Hahn, Hackman and Kidnap Kid take to the stage. Sunday's line up is just as strong with SBTRKT headlining, plus Jamie XX and John Talabot also playing. Weekend tickets are at £69.50, while day tickets are £39.50.

Beacons | August 7th - 10th

Beacons is one of the UK's newer festivals but that doesn't make it any less of a highlight. 2014 will see the Yorkshire Dales alive with Darkside, Jon Hopkins, Daughter, Submotion Orchestra, and more. Tickets are £81.95 for the weekend.

Field Day | June 7th & 8th

Victoria Park is a favourite festival location in London and Field Day returns again for a two day festival there this summer. Headline acts are Metronomy and Pixies while other sets will come from Temples, Daniel Avery, George Fitzgerald, Huw Stephens and many more. Weekend tickets come in at £78 and day tickets £38.50.

Lovebox | July 18th & 19th

Another one to highlight from Victoria Park is Lovebox, which is taking place on July 18th-19th. It has got one of the finest line ups this summer, featuring a Bonobo (live), Mount Kimbie, M.I.A, Breach, Joy Orbison, Madlib, Paul Woolford, Klangkarussell and so many more. Get tickets for £89 for the weekend.
