There's two types of parties you attend over the seasons. There's the 6pm - 9pm soirees, where your main purpose is to lap up whatever reason you've been asked - be it anything from a collaboration launch to a store opening. Then there are the parties thrown for absolutely no reason whatsoever; the invite states 7pm till late and when that's all the information given, you usually know you're in for a good party.

While Isabel Marant may have hosted her dinner to celebrate the opening of her first London store, the doors for the party that followed did not open until 11pm. In other words, we all knew we were in for a treat from the off.

We found ourselves sipping back champagne and throwing (in some cases, extremely embarrassing) shapes among the architectural splendour of the Welsh Chapel, which was formerly The Limelight Club back in the 80's, under the light of the most magnificent disco ball I've seen to date.

I owe a ridiculously fabulous Thursday night to Ella and Nik; these two never falter to cause havoc, while enthralling everyone around them, of course.
