Beauty | Review | Clarisonic Mia 2

There's a lot that I owe to my Clarisonic Mia 2. After an incident with bio oil, that damaged the skin on my face beyond belief, I couldn't wear foundation for weeks without a flaky result. I went through a huge variety of exfoliators and moisturising products trying to fix the area of skin around my eyes but nothing worked until the Clarisonic Mia 2.

In the Clarisonic Mia 2 box you'll find the Mia 2 model, a small tube of Clarisonic's own cleanser, a charger and a travel case to protect your Mia 2 on the go. The magnetic charger included latches onto the bottom of the Mia 2 and lights up to let you know it is charging successfully. As simple as it is and more aesthetically pleasing for the charger to fix onto the Mia 2 rather than be plugged into the device, it does mean it is easier to detach the charger without realising.

Call me lazy but I've never really thrown myself into a solid beauty regime before the first week of using my Clarisonic Mia 2. I used the device twice daily as suggested, in the mornings and evenings. I wet my face, then spread a thin layer of Garnier's Cleansing Milk for super sensitive skin all over, and wetting my Clarisonic Mia 2 brush, I begin with my forehead for 20 seconds and when the device pulses, move onto my nose and chin for another 20 seconds. The device pulses again, telling me to move onto a cheek for 10 seconds before its final pulse where I move onto the other. When the minute is up the device switches off and I rinse off the brush and my face, finishing with Bobbi Brown's Hydrating Face Cream.

As you mve the brush around your face, the Clarisonic Mia 2 brush rotates, removing dirt and impurities from your pores, cleansing your skin in a more intense way than you could ever manage manually.

The positive effects of using my Clarisonic Mia 2 were immediate. My skin was baby bottom soft after only a few uses and whatever issues I had had with the broken skin around my eyes vanished within a few days meaning I could return to wearing make up again after weeks.

Like many others have noted, during my first week of using my Clarisonic Mia 2, I saw a few random break outs - I got spots on areas of my face that had never been spotty before but I continued on using the device and a week later, these have mostly cleared up. I've stopped using the device twice a day and instead, I now just use at the end of the day before bed to clear away any daily grime from the city.

£125 is a huge amount of money to spend on a product to enhance your cleansing routine and honestly,  I probably would have thought twice if I had had to purchase my Clarisonic Mia 2 after reading such mixed reviews on other blogs but hopefully this post will give you the push you need if you're uncertain about taking the leap. Whilst everyone is different, I can only sing Clarisonic's praises on such a fantastic product.
