If I think back to my last proper slumber party, there was a whole heap of excitable girls grouped around popcorn, sweets and lemonade, pretending to watch a film and staying up later than our parents favoured, talking about the latest victims of our teenage attraction.
Fast forward almost a decade to William Tempest's pyjama party at W London and while the sweets could still be found, popcorn was replaced by Belvedere, a £6,000 a night penthouse suite with a revolving sofa in lieu of my bedroom and I found myself talking over Radio 1's Rob da Bank spinning my favourite nineties tracks instead of my ropey old CD player.
William was just as excited as we were by it all, "It has been huge fun designing pyjamas with W London! My design is inspired by the duality of the British personality and reflects the creative, eclectic city of London. The print side is my twist on traditional pyjama stripes, and the reverse is made in a beautiful grey, peach skin fabric. I’m also excited to be supporting London-based manufacturers to create the pyjamas!"
I'm sure I wasn't the only one there that William Tempest showed up with his luxuriously designed pyjamas and the slumber party he threw to celebrate. All in all it was certainly a surreal way to spend a Tuesday evening and thanks W London for having us!
