Let's face it, very few of us actually have the spare cash to splash out on a new season wardrobe at the moment. My student loan came in and is sitting tight in my bank account, waiting to be withdrawn over the months to cover rent and solely rent.
If I did have a few spare pounds, the above would be everything I dream of adding to my wardrobe right now. I need to get my hands on some neoprene; the fabric that's traditionally used for wetsuits, bottle coolers and loved for it's crease-proof qualities - I'm not fussy about what form I acquire, I just need some ASAP thanks.
It's only in recent years that neoprene has arisen from the water to the catwalk. SS12 saw an olympic fury of the fabric; Peter Pilotto joined forces with swimsuit designer and neoprene expert Lisa-Marie Fernandez, showing a collection of tropical print dresses and jackets in a luxury neoprene fabric. It's been featured by McQ by Alexander Mcqueen, Pierre Hardy, Jimmy Choo and many many more to give a sporty take on otherwise fairly ordinary pieces of clothing. Pilotto's was the collection that really stood out for me though.
I think you've probably got the idea now of how I feel about the fabric - any neoprene donations are more than welcome.
