A month or so ago I was asked to take part in Miss Selfridge's Get The Look blogger competition by creating my own look at home, with clothes and products very kindly provided for me.
We had to chose a couple of pieces from a certain look; I went for Rock The Party, choosing this crop top and gold baroque skirt. I know what you're thinking - a little more glitzy than anything you've seen me in before - but it was fun to play dress up.
I created a smokey eye look using Bourjois Intense 10 eye shadow, Queen Attitude Volume Mascara and Kohl Kajal in black, as well as some white eyeshadow of my own. To create the eyeshadow look; you start by covering your eyelid with the white shimmery colour, and then blend in the black eyeshadow over the top starting from the corner of your eye. I apply eyeliner over the top but I've been told you it's the first thing you're are supposed to do. Finish the look with mascara and you've got your own smokey eyes! I was given a stunning red Bourjois lipstick to use as well but with the dramatic eyes, that would have been a little much.
I went for my natural hair; I don't straighten or curl or do anything with my hair much these days to try and keep the condition as good as possible. I've got a natural slight wave to my hair and I tousled it up with the Label M salt spray, finishing with a touch of shine and some hair spray to keep in the natural curl - simple or maybe just a little lazy...
