The Noisettes album launch at Baroque.

Thursday nights seem to belong to Baroque at the moment. So far I've been lucky enough to see Mark Ronson, James Blake, Marina and the Diamonds and this week I headed down to the luxurious mayfair  club to see The Noisettes, aka Shingai Shoniwa and Dan Smith.

The combo played a show stopping gig to celebrate the launch of their 3rd album Contact for friends, members and press at London's Baroque club. The duo played an intimate 45 min set, which included their hits such as Let The Music Play and Contact.

Shingai looked striking in a platinum gold and sequined gown, which included a unique gold metal crinoline which she wore over her dress.

We drank The Noisette Cocktail, some sort of Hoxton Gin concoction. We ate Baroque Surf and Turf Platters ( that's Lobster rolls and Mini Hamburgers with skinny fries and truffle oil infused ketchup to you and me). Shingai joined the crowd for an eponymous cocktail in the sumptuous surroundings.

We left sort of stunned from her performance; it's not every day you get to be up close and personal with some of the UK's finest musical talent!
