Alexander Wang Pre-Fall '13

Wang's girl is all grown up for Pre-Fall '13. There's less sex appeal and a more serious woman; gone are the flirty cut-outs and allusive floating on air silhouettes.

What Wang is hinting at for Fall is a more powerful but more reserved, sleeker and even more androgynous than we've seen before, blending shapes to confuse between where a jacket ends and a dress begins.

Maybe this slight change of aesthetic direction with his namesake label is to do with Wang's new role at Balenciaga but I guess only time will tell what Wang's debut there holds and whether he's got what it takes to differentiate between the two brands.
