London Fashion Week SS13//Day 2.

Day 2 begun with DAKS at the unsociable hour of 9am - every season they show to jet-lagged editors from New York and the majority of the fashion crowd who have hit cocktails too hard the night before. Luckily for us all, the collection was soft on the eye.

DAKS SS13

Soft, draped shapes hung from the models with an air of elegance in chalky tones. The collection progressed to their signature heritage style offering tradition parkas and trench coats made from silk gazar and translucent nylon, adding a modern touch to the collection. Oversized outerwear was layered upon floating daywear. I couldn't help but fall for DAKS SS13 collection.

After a break in The Apartment (more to come on that beauty later), I headed backstage at Todd Lynn. We were ushered around in the most frantic manner. I have never felt more in the way, ever. Backstage is overwhelmed by photographers, stylists, models, people dressing the models, PRs...the list goes on and the space doesn't. We barely saw anything of any interest except hair extensions that the models were about to be treated to.

My only other show of the day was Holly Fulton. You probably didn't read the report I wrote for Wonderland last season but I threw in a reference about Fulton's jewellery resembling Pat Butcher's (seriously is was hideous). This season couldn't have been more different. I would happily see every Holly Fulton SS13 piece hanging in my wardrobe.

Appliquéd roses were everywhere; down legs, up sleeves, across the chest. Fulton used PVC to create stiff shapes that bounced their way down the catwalk. It was the most exquisite collection that she's shown to date. Fulton certainly showed us how to travel in style next Summer.

I'm sacking off fashion related parties tonight to head to Peckham Palais with Oneman, Eliphino and Boddika. I'll be the one in the corner at London Fashion Week tomorrow trying to hide my hangover.

I wore:

Nelly leather jacket*. Topshop Boutique trousers. Topshop crop top.
ASOS flatforms. Urban Outfitters socks. Mulberry handbag.
Yves Saint Laurent & Topshop rings. Portobello market sunnies.
