London Fashion Week SS13//Day 1.

After 3 parties last night (blogs coming soon), I assumed I would be feeling a little worse for wear today. Someone somewhere must be looking out for me because after several too many mojitos and a total of four hours sleep, I woke up feeling fine. I'm taking street style photos for ldnfashion.com and covering a few shows for them during London Fashion Week, as well as coverage on here, so head over there for some more detailed reports on shows!

I started London Fashion Week with Caroline Charles. The collection started with an under the sea atmosphere and morphed into Downton Abbey - I wish I was joking. I took a few good pictures though so I'll let you decide on that one yourself.

Next up was Corrie Nielsen. I'm a massive fan of hers and have attended every show since she first began presenting at London Fashion Week. Each season Nielsen builds on her signature architectural structures. This season she took cue from Kew Gardens in London. Layers of stiff fabrics, in hues of pastel pink and blue, ribboned in at the waist accenting the female form, created the illusion of peony roses. The collection veered towards couture; the sleek tuxedo paneling and trailing swatches of ivory silk wouldn't look out of place on the red carpet.

Following Corrie Nielsen I headed to Krystof Strozyna, my first (and probably last) front row seat of the season. Feel free to read more about it on LDNfashion.com

The eagerly anticipated Sass & Bide was next. After a short hiatus, the brand has returned to London and my god, the show lived up to its surrounding hype. Many notable celebs such as Poppy Delevigne and Delilah graced the front row. The collection was the epitome of the reoccurring boy meets girl trend. Dewy faced models were dressed in a mishmash of textures, fabricated in a monochromatic palette with the occasional flash of neon orange and metallics. All of the thrown together elements that made up the collection shouldn't of worked together but somehow they did stunningly.

Unfortunately I arrived late to Felder Felder, my last show of the day, and wasn't allowed in. I've heard Kate Nash sung live so I'm sure that would have been quite the performance - I'm sad that I missed it.

I wore:

American Apparel T-shirt. Hearts & Bows skirt. Topshop boots.
Urban Outfitters rucksack. Nixon watch.
