Giveaway//Opera di Peroni tickets.

No longer is opera confined to the Italians or our elders! Fashionable Italian beer Peroni Nastro Azzurro has collaborated with recording artist Kwes and avant-guarde opera producers GO OPERA to create a more au curent production of authentic Italian opera, vaulting timeless classics out of the grasps of its supposed niche audience.

An aria from the rarely performed La Rondine, a story of love and betrayal, has been re-worked by Kwes and will feature his new musical offerings, without modifying the original excessively, "It's so beautiful, I didn't want to change or deconstruct it," he says. "Instead, I embellished it. For the outdoor performances I wanted to create a dreamlike, ethereal sound. The subject matter is delicate, but I wanted it to be playful and colourful."

Recording artist & producer Kwes.

Keeping inline with traditional Italian opera, the alfresco London performances (which take place July 5 - July 7) will be held in the grandiose Triton Square, Regents Place. Further performances will take place at exclusive venues throughout the Summer in Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and Glasglow.

I have two tickets to giveaway to the closing performance this Saturday (July 7). All you have to do to enter is leave a comment saying why you would like to attend along with your email address. You have until 6pm on Thursday (July 5) to enter and entrants must be 18 or over.

Good luck!

If you don't want to enter my giveaway, but still want to buy tickets, and for further information, visit the Opera di Peroni website.

Disclaimer: I have been given the tickets to give away by Holler.

As an avid fan of this blog and someone who has only ever been to a traditional operas, I reckon I need this opportunity to see the other side of opera and whether it can be recreated effectively using modern music production technology whilst keeping the same romanticism! HAHA PICK ME MILL!!
