Lollipops launch.

Wednesday evening was a busy one evening this week. I headed with a friend to the Lollipops boutique in Shoreditch to celebrate their opening. We were greeted by women acting as mannequins in the store window, which was very cute.

The boutique is very girly but had an edge that you might expect of a Parisian label opening in Shoreditch.

We headed for the bar where we were served a drink called The Beast - a concoction of cucumber, water and absinth (sounds disgusting, tasted great). We feasted (and I mean really feasted in order to soak up the absinth) on a tea party spread of finger sandwiches, macaroons and miniature cakes. When we thought it couldn't get any better, we were presented with absinth ice poles. Unfortunately the guy wouldn't spill his secret of freezing alcohol.

We next headed to Soho House for the 1st birthday party of Monica & Joe, an online boutique. Unfortunately by the time we arrived, the bar tab had run out and we found ourselves splashing out £20 for two cocktails. Nevertheless we had a great time; the place was rammed.

We did seem to be the youngest people there and found ourselves having some interesting conversations with people I wouldn't usually but I guess that is the beauty of these parties!
