Boxpark Shoreditch.

I don't know about you, but I am certainly kept up by the nightmare that I can't buy my Nike high-tops, or my Urbanears headphones, out of shipping crates all joined together in the form of a pop up mall. Tomorrow that nightmare finally ends as Boxpark Shoreditch officially opens its doors to the public.

In all seriousness though, Boxpark is a fresh concept, envisioned and made happen by Roger Wade. He told us at the press launch yesterday,"I was always fasinated by shipping containers - the idea of Boxpark was a fusion of many personal ideas over time. I wanted to create something on a grand scale by using shipping containers and offer retailers short leases, versatility and cost-effective retailing...And at the same time a place where the kids could just hang out and have fun..."

Boxpark brings together small independent brands alongside with the bigs dogs like Lacoste. Every shipping container is the same size, yet each brand/retailer has fitted out their store uniquely - each one offers a different experience.

Also, the food on the 1st floor is insane. We were treated to samples of all the food (cue post-Christmas belly three weeks early) from the stores.

Boxpark launches tomorrow, with a performance from Dizzee Rascal at 1pm. Click here for a 20% off voucher for the dreamy retail experience and here for Boxpark's directory.
